The Five Elements in Chinese medicine are Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water. We all have these elements in our body and these elements are also found in nature. Below are examples of each element. These are known based on Chinese medical theory. An example for clarity is the Wood element. The organs of the Wood element are Liver and Gallbladder. The emotion anger is a normal and health emotion. When we have anger all of the time it may be a sign that there is an imbalance in the Wood energy. This imbalance could manifest by craving sour foods, shouting all of the time, having brittle nails.  Below the list of the Wood element are foods in nature that can help balance this system in our body.
